Trip to Thailand

Last month I did a 1-week trip to Thailand. Making Thailand the 3rd country I've visited so far. I was thinking about traveling there for some time. Winning scoot vouchers at the last year Diner and Dance event confirmed the trip. Trip was mostly solo, but a friend joined me for the weekend.

I chose to visit Pattaya because they've beach tennis. I booked first 2 nights in Greta Sports Club where they had beach tennis courts. That place was okay but far (about 10 km) from the city. After that I moved to the city and stayed in Pattaya Hillside Resort for the rest of the trip. Which was cheaper and slightly better than Greta.

While I was there I did 3 Beach Tennis training sessions with Alex - top ranking player in Thailand. I met Tim who's the IFBT regional manger for Thailand. I played a lot of Beach Tennis and a bit of Beach volleyball. They mostly play from the evening till night. They have fixed Beach Tennis courts with lights on the (Jomptien) Beach and Greta Resort. I also visited a temple and Sanctuary of Truth museum.

As a city Pattaya reminded me the game GTA 4. It's a beach city with lots of Europeans (Many of them are retirees with their Thai girlfriends). There were also a lot of Russians there (most likely avoiding the war).
